James Spriggs - Big Bend Eminent Domain Issue

Energy Transfer Partners and its foreign investors have begun building a 42", natural gas pipeline through the middle of the Big Bend region of West Texas. It is massive in comparison to a pipe meant for public use and running 143 miles through one of the most pristine areas in the states. Due to convoluted state law, the company is using eminent domain to take land of non-compliant landowners in order to get the gas to Mexico, be liquefied and then sold on the foreign market with proof of it being financially backed  by 4 Japanese banks. It is a project of private gain over public loss while losing the great heritage of Texans as well as the delicate ecosystem and archaeological treasures of this spectacular region.
